BAYKO im Deutschland

In February, 1961, 'British Toys' was a [then] fairly new publication for both the British and European toy trades, which regularly included items in languages other that English.
In this case we have an entry for the MECCANO product range when they attended the massive European Toy Fair in Nuremberg [Nürnberg].
The article is self explanatory, if you read German, and reads as follows : -
British Toys, February, 1961 Page vi
MECCANO LTD.
WIESELERHAUS - STAND 143
Which, being LOOSELY translated, reads : -
British Toys, February, 1961 Page vii
MECCANO LTD.
WIESELERHAUS - STAND 143
On the Meccano-stand, no. 143, is to be seen, among other things, for the first time on the European continent, the Hornby Dublo locomotives equipped with the new "Ring Field" motor. A locomotive equipped with this motor underwent a public test recently. Without interruption, it ran for 96 hours and clocked up 245 km in this time, without requiring any maintenance or repair. To our knowledge this test is unique in the history of the model railways.
The range of Meccano models will not differ substantially from those which are to be demonstrated by Meccano Limited at the forthcoming British Fair in Moscow.
The latest examples of Dinky Toys will also be seen in Nuremberg, among them some special international models with unique detailing.
Also, for the first time on the European continent, the new Bayko sets and models are to be shown.
Just for the record, that poor little model railway locomotive kept up a scale speed of 112 miles per hour [179 kilometres per hour] for 96 hours - ouch!!! That's not going to please the rivet counters!!!
MECCANO product range advert which mentions BAYKO

Not entirely coincidentally, I feel certain, in the same February, 1961 edition of 'British Toys' there was an advert [left] for the MECCANO product range, which, just like the above item, was written entirely in German. Although only briefly, it does specifically mention BAYKO.
The mention of the world's finest construction toy was short and sweet : -
Meccano und ”Bayko” Baukästen
Baukästen means component systems.

To the best of my knowledge, though I accept I haven't trawled through the entire German press output for the period, this is the only German language advert ever to mention BAYKO

I also have a little information about BAYKO's German export market…

BAYKO was a regular advertiser in 'British Toys'
