BAYKO Sets #0 to #2 Instruction Manual -
1946 - 16 Page Version

This is the second version of the post-war Instruction Manual which was produced by Plimpton, in 1946, for their early post-war BAYKO sets and has double the number of pages of the first version.
Pages one, two, three and five of this manual [below] are identical to those in its eight page predecessor.
However, there is a small change to page 4 [below], where the lower central model plan has been moved up the page slightly to create a space for a small table explaining the abbreviations used in the plans.
Pages 15 and 16 [below] show photographs of BAYKO models incorporating pre-war Large bases and Wall Capping - in a post-war manual remember!!! The back page, apart from the page number, is almost identical to the back page of the earlier manual, except that the page heading has been moved about 5 milimeters [0.2 inches] to the left. This is not a simple print registration issue as the black print in the heading has also moved.
All the other pages of this manual are new, however, some include photos of models shown in the first post-war manual.
Apart from there being no price printed on the front cover, the main difference between this 16 page version and the later 20 page equivalent is the lack of the parts list and conversion set explanation, which information was provided by the inclusion of a separate sheet with each set.
Another omission from this manual is the "How to Build with BAYKO" information. This function was achieved via a completely separate document, with exactly that title, which was also included in the sets.
It is also possible that this issue was used as an export version to support Plimpton's assault on the global construction toy market, in response to government pressures.

This manual comprises 16 pages, printed in red and black on white gloss paper, with a full colour cover.
Size 220mm x 140mm = 8.6 x 5.5 inches.
