BAYKO Sets #0 to #2 Instruction Manual -
1947 to 1948, 20 Pages - Later Version

This 20 page Instruction Manual was produced, in 1947 and 1948, by the Plimpton Engineering Company for their post-war BAYKO sets. This is the later version of the 20-page format.
When set #3 was introduced in 1948, this manual, or, just possibly, one of the earlier versions, was still included, along with a specific set #3 manual.
Post-war austerity meant difficult sourcing decisions had to be made, leading to a somewhat chaotic period, printwise. By the time the twenty page manuals emerged, the support leaflets were no longer included as the set contents data was included in them, however, the 8 page “How to Build with BAYKO", of which there were four versions, were still printed. Links to all the manuals, etc., which overlapped this type of manual are included in the navigation table. [below]
This is the final version of this manual, with a number of modifications to the earlier, 1946 version.
This manual comprises 20 pages, printed in red and black on white, gloss paper, with a full colour cover.
The minute changes in size from the earlier version are a little strange but may be just a feature of a single print run of the manuals.
The pages highlighted in pink, below, show differences from the earlier version.
Most of the differences are the use of ½ Brick Rods in this later version and, for some reason, a reduction in the use of Tie Bars.
Page 4 is particularly interesting as it makes reference to BAYKO set #5 - post-war remember - as well as set #4, though at least this manual admits they are not ready yet!!!
Pages 19 and 20 still show photographs of BAYKO models incorporating pre-war Large bases and Wall Capping - in a post-war manual remember!!!

Size 219mm x 139mm = 8.6 x 5.5 inches.

Immediately below this point is the small navigation table [as mentioned above]
linking to all the manuals, etc., which overlap or precede this style of document.
